The Resident Season 5 Episode 23 Spoilers

To begin, the new episode 23 of The Resident’s current season 5 is titled called “Neon Moon.”  It will be the season finale episode and will be extremely dramatic. As we know Conrad (Matt Czuchry) is conscious that he’s still stuck in the past with Nic and also has been unable to make a decision and find his next love. Why couldn’t Conrad move on from the past? He will benefit from Nic’s reappearance in his personal life. Nic looks to be showing up to give Conrad some peace so he may find love again. He has to figure things out, especially because Billie and Cade are both potential suitors for him right now. Conrad will most likely find what he’s looking for by flashing back to Gigi’s birth.  According to co-showrunner Peter Elkoff, she would appear in “four, maybe five” flashback scenes during the finale. He also added that Conrad had convinced himself that the night Gigi was born would provide him with insight for whatever reason, and “he gets an answer, an understanding that frees him in some way.” The promo below focuses entirely on Nick. The Resident Season 5 Episode 22 Recap

Ian settles in well at Chastain. He’s also attempting to smuggle medicines from others. They apprehended the assailant. Cade, on the other hand, refuses to leave his hospital bed. When Ian returns, he offers her benzos to help with her PTSD and anxiety, but she declines because he isn’t her prescribing doctor and it’s against the law. He can muster greater worry because she is a patient. Her poor relationship with her father is revealed to Conrad. Ian gets Cade’s medications, knowing that she won’t take the benzos, and he keeps them in his pocket. Instead of taking the planned stroll with Cade, Ian goes to talk to Kit, so she tries to handle everything on her own and collapses. Ian informs Kit that he wishes to move closer to Cade and is looking for work. Kit offers to take him on a tour. They obtain a young adolescent. Marco went to the emergency room. They need to revive him because his heart has entered a deadly rhythm, and they need to figure out why.

Devon keeps an eye on Albert, his trial patient. The trial is taking its toll on him. He is in total remission and no longer has malignancies in his lungs. Devon is being courted by a number of different research institutions, and Kitbell is concerned that he will leave Chastain. Because of Leela, in particular. Marco suffers from osteogenesis imperfecta, which has resulted in several fractures and breaks. However, his sternum is now effectively strangling his heart, which might kill him, but it’s also dangerous. Marco wants the procedure in the hopes of becoming completely well, but his mother is still hesitant. Conrad remembers Devon and pleads with him not to leave Chastain, but he also realizes that he earned this and deserves to discover what else there is out there. Despite Billie and AJ’s advice, Marco’s mother refuses to have the procedure. Cade isn’t found until Conrad arrives to see her, and her incision is leaking out.

Cade tells Conrad about her oblivious father. Marco’s lungs begin to fail him, and he must be intubated. They put on a concert for Devon at the hospital in Baltimore. His Chastain rabies protocol and a dream research lab are among his goals. They want Devon to be the program’s director. Billie and AJ inform Marco’s mother that they have no choice but to operate. Ian is given the opportunity to scrub in with Billie and AJ by Kit. Conrad and Ian discuss Cade in depth. Ian takes more drugs and slumps down in pain as he prepares for surgery, but Kit dismisses it. He enters surgery in scrubs. During surgery, Ian makes an impression. Kit recognizes Ian’s charm and is concerned. Devon and Leela discuss their love and the job possibility.

Billie and AJ chat about their feelings, and she won’t say who she’s in love with, but AJ knows and advises her to go to Conrad. Before leaving, Conrad and Gigi pay a visit to Cade’s room. Cade is hugged by Gigi. In Cade’s room, Billie notices Conrad and Gigi. A podcast interview, deposition, and surgery follow his incredibly busy day. Bell isn’t feeling well, so she tells him to go home and rest. Things are still terrible later, so Kit offers they postpone their wedding for the time being and instead throw a big engagement party with their guests on the scheduled day. But there’s a more pressing issue: Bell is blind. She assists him in lying down and then phones his doctor, presuming he is suffering from an MS flare-up as a result of pushing himself too hard. He passes out in his hotel room at the end of the episode.
