Dexter Season 9 Episode 5 “Runaway” Photos, Promo, Release Date

The previous episode 4 of Dexter: New Blood,  was the strongest episode yet, thanks to the duality idea and the parallel narrative between Harrison and Kurt. It appears that Harrison and Kurt are raising monsters, or, in Harrison’s case, a Dark Passenger. Both spend the episode hiding in plain sight, covering their tracks and attempting to hide behind the public-facing façade they’ve constructed, but cracks are beginning to appear. Episode 4 suggests that both men, like Dexter, are harboring murderous secrets. Dexter verifies his concerns that Harrison, like his father, is violent. In addition, It’s a joy to see Jennifer Carpenter and Michael C. Hall interact. As a long-time fan, it’s great to see them back again. Let’s take a look at below to find out the full recap of episode 4. Dexter: New Blood Episode 4 Recap

Dexter mulls over the possibility that Kurt is hallucinating. Kurt may be lying because he wants to take issues into his own hands, according to “Deb.” There’s also the possibility that Kurt will continue his investigation until he finds his son’s true killer. Dexter watches Kurt at the diner, talking to a young woman with green hair, as he fills up his tank. Harrison listens to Molly’s podcast “Merry Fucking Kill” episode by episode. He comes across an episode about the Trinity Killer and listens as Molly describes Rita’s death, including how he was present at the time as a baby. Dexter receives an Emergency Alert on his phone while at work, stating that the high school is on lockdown. Angela answers the phone and informs him that there are several injuries and Harrison is involved. Dexter arrives at the school in a hurry. He watches Ethan, who is unconscious and bleeding from the leg, being carried away on a stretcher. He then notices his son has been stabbed in the ribcage. At the crime scene, Dexter analyses the blood.

Angela interrogates Harrison, who confesses that Ethan planned a school massacre to exact revenge on all the kids who had been harassing him. He wanted him to be a part of it as well. Harrison said he tried to persuade Ethan not to do it, but Ethan stabbed him. Dexter changes Harrison’s bandage in the morning and notes the angle of the wound, so he questions him about the attack. Harrison becomes combative. Dexter then tells Deb that the stab wound doesn’t match Harrison’s tale and that something isn’t quite right. Dexter goes to the crime scene, which is the school auditorium. Dexter rehearses the interaction in his imagination with the help of Deb. Harrison severed Ethan’s leg first, then stabbed himself in the ribs to sell the narrative, he deduces. Kurt Caldwell arrives with a gift for Harrison, a drone, and congratulates him on his bravery. He then compliments Harrison to Dexter while bemoaning the fact that his son is such a jerk. Matt, Kurt claims, is worse than Ethan since he has killed people. Dexter lets slip that he is aware of Matt’s boat disaster and the deaths involved, but when he realizes he has spoken too much, he pretends to forget some of the story’s finer points. “That guy’s fishing and I just nibbled,” Dexter thinks after Kurt has left. Molly comes up at Angela’s office with information regarding one of her board’s missing women, as well as photographic evidence that she is alive in Tulsa and a phone number.

Angela is taken aback but impressed. Molly claims she learned of the news through her web fans. Kurt examines Matt’s childhood photographs. He then approaches Chloe, the green-haired girl, who informs him that she intended to spend the money he gave her for bus fare, but instead purchased food and a new winter coat. She requests an additional $80 from him. He tells her he can’t keep giving her money, but he does give her work. She is adamant, though, that she will not remain. Dexter examines Harrison’s room while Harrison gives a statement at school about Ethan, noting that while he is glad no one was wounded, they should not have treated Ethan so badly. Audrey is the first to give him a standing ovation. We witness Kurt taking Chloe to a secluded cabin during Harrison’s speech, with the identical hurricane doors Lily burst out of. In Harrison’s room, Dexter discovers a straight razor disguised inside a flashlight, identical to the one Trinity used to murder Rita. Dexter smiles as he kisses the blade and announces that he has his dark passenger.
