Will Steve Harrington Alive in “Stranger Things” ?

Whether or whether Joe Keery’s Steve Harrington, a fan favorite from Stranger Things 4 Volume 2, will live or die was one of the biggest unanswered issues. Yes, is the short and sweet response. Steve did make it through a trip to the Upside Down where he, Robin, Nancy, and the villain Vecna managed to inflict serious injuries. They had difficulties on the trip to the attic of the Creel House as they became ensnared in the mind-controlled hive of the realm.

Along with these actual near misses, Steve’s future appeared to be in doubt based on some of the talks he had in the final two episodes of Season 4. It’s always a bad omen when a character talks about their future goals or aspirations. In the eighth episode, “Chapter 8: Papa,” Steve confesses to Nancy that he had always imagined having a large family and traveling in an RV with them. Later, he tells Nancy that she was the one he had imagined sharing this life with. Usually, a talk like this isn’t good for the characters involved. The disruption of Lucas and Max’s movie night by Vecna’s attack in the finale is a great example of plans for the future being derailed by a terrible turn of events. Max passes away before Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) is able to partially resuscitate her, but because she is connected to monitors and machines in the hospital and has had her limbs damaged by the horrific Vecna’s abilities, her future is still uncertain.

Although discussing the future wasn’t the final straw for Steve, we can’t help but wonder if he’ll be alive by the time Season 5 rolls around. Steve, who was first introduced as Nancy’s well-liked boyfriend in Season 1, has evolved throughout the course of the show from an envious jock to a protective babysitter. Fans have made it obvious that they will never want to see him leave the screen, but will that be enough to keep him alive? No one is safe from the evils present in Hawkins, as Stranger Things has demonstrated over the course of its four seasons. Steve might be the next victim. You may watch him in the most recent Season 4 episodes, which debuted recently on Netflix and share your thoughts on where you think Season 5 might lead the cherished character.
