The L Word Generation Q Season 2 Episode 8 Recap

Sophie pulls Finley up from jail and reveals that she was caught drunk driving at the end of the previous episode. Sophie, on the other hand, appears to be more concerned about the DUI. Dani brings Bette to the CAC and tries to talk to her about Gigi, but Bette is preoccupied with the news that the CAC’s Nunez Wing has been renamed. As part of her job as the CEO of her family’s business, Dani tells her that she donated to the CAC and Bette’s show. Bette is enraged by this and refuses to accept Dani’s family’s “blood money” to sponsor her to play. She threatens to terminate Pippa’s employment if the CAC refuses to accept Dani’s family’s money, which enrages Pippa. Bette tries to convince Pippa that she is merely joking and that she would not let her art be pulled, but the CAC immediately votes to cancel the event. Dani sleeps with Gigi before calling her father to complain about Bette removing artists from the show. Micah is enraged when a doctor at his office tells a patient that they can start hormone therapy even though their parents haven’t agreed yet. He subsequently apologizes, explaining that a pediatrician had advised him to take hormone therapy, but his mother refused, making him depressed, and invites the doctor to dinner, which she accepts. Dani attends a meeting with her father and his lawyers, during which he scolds her for doing too much when he had instructed her to keep quiet. She defends herself by claiming that she was only trying to do the right thing, that her father is responsible for the company’s current predicament, and that she is unable to testify in his defense in court. Bette and Shane, who are both alone because Tess has gone to visit her mother in Las Vegas, attend Alice’s book release party. Sophie and Finley are also in attendance. Sophie becomes concerned about Finley’s drinking and departs early. Tom is hurt when Alice informs him that she slept with Nat. Despite this, he introduces her with kindness, and Alice reads from her book about Dana. After a brief conversation between Alice, Shane, and Bette, all three of them go to pursue their romantic interests. Bette begins to persuade someone at the CAC not to remove Pippa’s artwork, which Pippa overhears and encourages her to forgive Bette. Tom forgives Alice and they sleep together again after she apologizes to him with a quote from her book that he penned.

Shane travels to Las Vegas, where she informs Tess that she would like to be her partner and the two sleep together. Dani, on the other hand, gives Gigi dinner and apologizes for snapping at her before. She discusses her father and expresses her embarrassment about the manner she enables her father to treat her. Micah and the doctor have dinner together and kiss before Micah tells her he has affection for someone else. After she goes, he phones Maribel, who arrives, and the two confess their love for one another. Sophie exits after a confrontation with Finley at home over Finley’s drinking. Bette and Pippa explore ways to express their displeasure with the Nunez family’s acceptance of money without canceling the program the next morning, while Finley is nowhere to be found and does not return Sophie’s calls.
