The episode opens with Yorick and Agent 355 discovering Boston is a battle zone, with anti-government graffiti branding Jennifer a “lie” and claiming the virus is a “hoax.” As a military convoy passes by, imposing a curfew, they flee. A military security checkpoint is encountered. Agent 355 goes to check it out on her own, posing as an Air Force soldier, and she gets inside. Mann isn’t among the scientists on their list. The science center was one of the first targets of the rioters, and if Mann was inside, she was taken as well. When Yorick hears military trucks approaching, he jumps out of his skin. Jennifer receives word from Israel that Regina has been delivered. General Reid wants to discuss the two missing helicopters, which they have been able to locate. Agent 355 and Yorick arrive at Mann’s apartment, which is empty except for a crib. They come upon many Mann photographs in the Union Club of Boston. They enter a chamber, where Mann comes up behind Yorick and stabs her in the rear shoulder before subduing her.
Mann is aware that Yorick carries the Y chromosome and is taken aback when he learns that Ampersand is also a man. Agent 355 informs her that the president has chosen her to continue her current investigation. Agent 355 travels to Warren Street, number 72. She is pitted against Agent 525, who is on the hunt for the same person as Agent 355: a character known as Fran who recruited them both. Jennifer is wary of working with Regina because she is concerned about Yorick’s safety. Regina enters in a wheelchair and is greeted by Jennifer; Kimberley pays Regina a visit, and the two must stay together. Jennifer cuts them off in the middle of their conversation.
