The Flash season 8 episode 18 is titled “The Man in the Yellow Tie.” the title references “The Man in the Yellow Suit” from The Flash season 1. Only a few episodes of The Flash season 8 remain.   Like every season of the Arrowverse drama, Barry Allen and his squad face a new foe at the climax. but The Flash season 8’s Big Bad remains a mystery. Reverse-Flash (Tom Cavanagh) returned in The Flash season 8, episode 17. Barry assumed Eobard was the speedster, but he was still at Lian Yu.  The trailer for The Flash season 8, episode 18 shows, a significant The Flash enemy return. While Eobard Thawne returned this week, the original Reverse-Flash will be featured in the next episode. The moniker “The Man with the Yellow Tie” refers to his attire, and he appears to be a rational normal human being on paper. The Flash season 8, episode 18 trailer reveals that this Eobard hasn’t met Barry or become Reverse-Flash. Eobard is working with Meena Dhawan, aka Fast Track, according to the footage. In the clip, it appears that Eobard has not yet become the Reverse-Flash, but it wouldn’t be surprising if he’s acting. Season 8 of The Flash will explain why 2151-born Eobard is in 2022 and what his return signifies. Letscher last appeared in the Arrowverse during the final season of Legends of Tomorrow, when Sara Lance bumped into Eobard during the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in 1914.

A new speedster arrives at Ivo Labs to put out a fire, but he also takes a Newton Battery. Barry and Chester assume the mysterious speedster may have ignited the fire to steal something. Barry decides to Lian Yu to see Thawne. Barry meets angry Thawne at Lian Yu. He teases Barry about Frost, but Barry keeps asking him questions, Thawne is aware of Frost’s premature death and concludes that the speedster set the fire accidentally. At CCC Media, things are getting desperate, and Lydia is eager to give herself up to save everyone else. Lydia notifies Allegra that their former gang, the Araas, commanded by Kimiyo Hoshi and Millie Rawlins, is threatening them. During an interview, they attack CCC Media, so Chester activates a forcefield. Allegra identifies herself as the light-based meta supporting Flash to recover their confidence when Taylor discloses Allegra as a former member of the Araas to her colleagues. Allegra detains Hoshi and Rawlins while Lydia reveals the Araas’ whereabouts, causing them to leave. Taylor reconciles with Allegra, but warns her that she can no longer hide from the rest of the world. Caitlin sends a video message to the STAR Labs crew. She says she won’t be back for a long time. Caitlin informs Team Flash that she will remain with Carla and appears to forgive Barry. As the episode comes to a close, The Flash discovers the new speedster, who has returned the stolen technology and only wants to communicate. Meena Dhawan (Kausar Mohammed), the creator, is exposed, and Flash offers to mentor her and replaces Frost with her.
