Fallon reassures Liam who is apprehensive about the first day of filming his movie. Sam prepares a large brunch for his father to commemorate the completion of his treatments and his cancer-free status. He attempts to spend more time with his father, but he has other priorities. Cristal observes Sam’s dissatisfaction and encourages him to inform his father that he is not ready to leave. Adam tries to persuade Alexis to fund a new line of injectable serums with seed money. Meanwhile, Fallon’s plan is again rejected by the board of directors, who are looking for a new profitable product to protect the company’s bottom line. Sam buys a horse and asks his father for help training it in order to persuade him to stay in Atlanta.
His father, on the other hand, is certain in his determination to return to Caracas. As Nina cuts a vital scene and Culhane replaces an actress who dropped out with the model he’s dating, Liam receives awful news at work. Fallon is dealing with her own workplace problem, as Alexis insists on taking Dominique’s place at the network. Instead of bringing Venezuela to Sam, Blake tells Sam to try to persuade his father to appreciate Atlanta. When Fallon has to place both Alexis and Dominique on the same network, her plan backfires, and the two wind up fighting while the show is recording.
