All American Season 5 Episode 11 Recap

On Monday’s episode, Billy confirms the team’s worst fears by telling them he will not be leaving to coach BAU after all. After participating in the Crenshaw combine, the team bus had an accident on the route home because a tire had blown out. Billy thought he exited the bus at the same time as the rest of the team. Once he had called his wife and daughter to let them know he was safe, he saw that the bus was perilously close to the edge of a cliff and understood that Jabari (Simeon Daise) was still inside. Despite the pleadings of Grace (Karimah Westbrook) and Jordan, he returned to the room to search for Jabari. Grace and Jordan finally returned home to tell their family that Billy had passed away at the end of the episode. At the end of the episode, Spencer, who had previously put Billy to voicemail, held a crying Olivia (Samantha Logan).
