But after figuring out whodunit, you might be left wondering if Rian Johnson, the series creator, has any more secrets up his sleeve. Fortunately, we already know the answer: Knives Out 3 will be released. Here is everything (tvacute.com) we know about the Glass Onion sequel and the original Knives Out threequel.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery Movie Ending!

When does Knives Out 3 come out?

We do know that Netflix will be the home of the upcoming Knives Out 3 since, according to Collider, the streaming service purchased the rights to Knives Out 2 and Knives Out 3 in March 2021 for $450 million. Johnson told Deadline before the release of Glass Onion that he will begin writing the script in 2023 since it is the “most interesting creative thing” he is working on at the moment. The sequel’s brief theatrical run began in November 2022 after the first film’s restricted release in November 2019. A gloomy prediction would be that the third film wouldn’t be released until November 2024/2025.

Producer Ram Bergman stated that while Johnson had the first Knives Out movie’s plot planned “for years in his head,” he “truly did not have an idea” for the second movie, Glass Onion. “[Johnson] is eager to move on to the next task as soon as feasible. It will be a greater challenge, but we’ll see how fast he is, Bergman added. So, we’ll wait and see how long it takes.”

Knives Out 3 Cast

Will any of the Knives Out or Glass Onion cast members appear in the third movie?

Yes! Daniel Craig intends to make a comeback as Detective Benoit Blanc. The James Bond star Daniel Craig added in a Variety interview, “If [Johnson] keeps writing them, I’ll keep doing them. The fact that he is such a fantastic writer makes it easier for me to do since it is already there on the page.

Knives Out 3’s cast and other cast members are still unknown, as each new episode is anticipated to have a fresh case and cast. But we’ll keep an eye out for more information about new investigators.
