 “Labor Day,” the title of this episode. In this episode, we are going to get a glimpse of Officer John Nolan as he prepares to broaden his horizons in preparation for his impending promotion to the position of training officer. John gets ready for his new position by supervising Officer Aaron Thorson. Nolan will also be responsible for investigating the circumstances surrounding the suicide of a fellow law enforcement officer.  Along with this, Lucy will be dealing with some significant challenges at some point in the episode. It would appear that the accomplishment of her most recent covert operation will result in an invitation for her to attend a specialized training session that will be held in the vicinity of Sacramento. As a result, we are going to watch Lucy deliberate over whether or not this is the course of action that she truly wishes to pursue going forward.
