The Resident, a Fox drama, is receiving a key new cast member. Andrew McCarthy has been cast as a recurrence on the final three episodes of The Resident’s current fifth season, with the possibility of becoming a series regular if the show is renewed for a sixth. Dr. Ian Sullivan, played by Andrew McCarthy, is a talented paediatric surgeon with an infinite charm that hides a hidden streak of narcissism. This is quite difficult for him. She claims to be a realist with one clear goal: to spend her final moments with him pain-free. AJ refuses to accept Carol’s death and wants Conrad to speak with him. Padma makes preparations for the fertilisation of the eggs, but she has yet to confirm with AJ whether he would be the sperm donor. Carol begins to convulse. A patient with a fever and a broken ankle comes in. Emily’s case is closed, and Bell is told that he is too emotionally committed. Bryce has a few additional problems. Bell informs Kit of the board’s deception in regards to her case. In order to expose the physician, he intends to disclose the story to the press.
