Cheryl, Abigal, and Poppy get ready for the day. Abigail greets a visitor, Cheryl greets her students, and Poppy greets a group of women. Bailey’s Comet is going over the town, Cheryl informs her kids. Cheryl informs the pupils that Nana Blossom is frail and on her deathbed, and that she intends to perform rituals for her. Cheryl must continue the ceremony, according to Nana Blossom. Cheryl reads from the Poppy Blossom book. Mrs. Tate is talking about running the diner with Poppy in 1957, and Poppy gives her some herbs to assist her operate the cafe for the day. Abigail is interviewing prospective headmistresses for her school in 1892. Abigail hires Ms. Tomissina since she is single. Throughout all three generations, a red candle is lit. Ms. Tomissina wants to teach the girls about Bailey’s Comet, but Abigail objects. She doesn’t want the females in the woods with her.

Poppy talks about the comet during the next ladies’ salon in 1957. The ladies are fascinated, but one of them believes it is a Soviet missile. The ladies are concerned about spies and what other people are up to; a Weatherbee was just suspected of spying. Poppy expresses her displeasure with witch hunts. Bitsy Cooper confides in Poppy that she is unhappy in her marriage and that her husband, Jack, wants her to have another child. Poppy discusses divorce (which Bitsy refuses), but she also provides her a witchy birth control prescription to prevent her from becoming pregnant. Bitsy and Poppy exchange a kiss. Bitsy becomes agitated and flees. After apologising for their earlier squabble, Abigail and Ms. Tomissina kiss in 1892. Constable Keller arrives after hooking up, alleging Tomissina is a killer, but Abigail maintains she hasn’t been to the school. Velma inquires of Poppy about ways to spice up her husband’s bedroom. Poppy presents her with a copy of the Kama Sutra as well as some herbs to use in her husband’s lunch. Poppy is visited by Jack and Bitsy. Jack threatens Poppy, threatening to murder her if she interferes with his marriage. Tomissina reveals to Abigail in 1892 that she was formerly married to a violent and abusive guy. When it became evident that her ex-husband was planning to kill her, she killed him. Brita enters Nana Blossom’s room in the present because she suspects Cheryl and Nana are having an affair.

Brita is allowed to stay. Poppy is visited by the men of Rivervale in 1957, who threaten to drive her out of town. They want her out of their lives because she is meddling in their marriages. Fen Fogarty tells Abigail that her brother James died in the war in the past. James reveals in his deathbed message that he wants Abigail to marry Fen. Tomissina informs Abigail that she believes Fen is untrustworthy and nasty, and that she does not want her to marry him. They intend to look for the truth. Poppy is advised by Tammy Tate to take her food with her. Within the diner, everyone is staring at her with death glares. When Poppy arrives home, she discovers that the cops are searching her house. There were allegations that she was a Russian spy. Abigail and Tomissina discover proof that Fen falsified James’ signature and made a phoney letter seal in 1892. His belongings contain dark arts items. Tomissina suspects he’s a warlock. Fen’s trunk contains images of dead people, which Abigail discovers. He is suspected of being a murderer. James was assassinated by Fen. Fen intends to slit Tomissina’s throat, but Abigail accepts his proposal of marriage. In 1957, she is interrogated by the police, who insist that she confess to being a communist. Poppy is adamant about not signing. Poppy’s refusal to sign irritates Bitsy. Bitsy announces that she is expecting a child.

Before quitting Poppy, Bitsy turns on her and calls her a variety of derogatory names. After nine months in jail, Jack frees Poppy to assist Bitsy during her birth. Cheryl informs Abigail that she married Fen. As Bailey’s Comet went through town, Bitsy gave birth to her daughter; Poppy offers her something for when the time is perfect. Abigail attacks Fen with an axe in 1892. She is unable to help Tomissina in time, and she is killed by Fen. As Bailey’s Comet passes, Fen curses Abigail to live a long and lonely life for the rest of her days. Fen succumbs to her injuries and dies. Cheryl tells that Poppy was exiled to Thornhill to live alone for the rest of her life. Abigail experienced the same thing. Sabrina has arrived at Thornhill to aid in the casting of a Transference spell. The spell is cast by Sabrina, Cheryl, and Nana Blossom. Nana Blossom’s body was infused with Abigail’s spirit. The magic was used to lift Fen’s curse and bring peace to the ghosts. Sabrina informs Brita that Abigail Blossom was cursed to live indefinitely, and that both Poppy and Cheryl are Abigail. The ritual transferred Abigail’s spirit into Nana Rose’s body, causing Abigail to die for good. Nana Rose’s ghost has taken up residence in Cheryl’s body. Sabrina asserts that witches do not die; instead, they return from the dead, just as she did. From the other side, Abigail and Tomissina reunite.
