NCIS Los Angeles Season 13 Episode 8 Recap

Kensi had to check in with Deeks at a certain time and day or she’d be in trouble. Her case had taken a turn. Kensi was looking into a worker. Benjamin Gomez, Marine Lance Corporal. Kensi went seeking evidence and disappeared around the same time that Fuentes’ signature was used to kill a lot of migrants coming into the US. Admiral Kilbride was notified when Fuentes signed. He reached out to Kensi, but she didn’t respond, so he spoke to Deeks. Check-in was also mentioned by Deeks Each of those points could be ignored. That spelled danger for Kensi, so the team was called in. Kilbride threw in Special Agent Aliyah DeLeon. Kensi was gone, Callen was alone, and Roundtree was off-screen. Aliyah turned out to be Sam’s, old pal. He endorsed her on the team. It also helped that Aliyah was self-aware. She and Fatima confronted Gomez. They had a warrant to search his house. When the feds came knocking on his home, Gomez tried to flee. They brought him down by working together. They had him detained while waiting for reinforcements to help secure the scene and were updating the admiral when they heard a sound from the shed. They asked Gomez about the noise. So the agents went there and announced themselves as federal agents. They found a group of undocumented persons imprisoned in the shed. Despite being kept against their will, those people refused to speak. They dreaded being sent back. But one woman. She recognized the photo of Kensi and said she feared the Americans more than the cartel.

This woman said they were “hunting” parties. American soldiers will kill migrants rather than deport them. Everything she said to Fatima She then informed Deeks and Sam. They were briefed by the hunting party while searching for Kensi. It could be rednecks feigning authority. Maybe rogue border agents. The agents suspected Gomez’s fellow marines and questioned him. Even a bargain for leaking his cousin’s secrets! Gomez confessed everything and that Kensi’s group hadn’t arrived. If they don’t, they’re captured or killed. This was forwarded to Deeks and Sam, who found a note from Kensi. She left a knife beside the fire. Also “11 Militia”. It was a rogue band of pretend soldiers. They mistook the people for smugglers and thought they were defending the country. Most of the victims were innocent except in one respect. As a result of this militia’s inaction, the disease continued unabated. They just killed people for no reason. These folks found Kensi. She was caught by the militia while fleeing with an injured migrant teenager. They didn’t trust Kensi when she said she was a federal agent. They accused her of treason for assisting people in crossing over. Treason was capital. The militia leader wanted to kill both women, but one man spoke out against it and was slain. But Sam and Deeks saved Kensi and Rosa. They said they were federal agents. The militia sought to shoot them to avoid arrest. Sam and Deeks overpowered them. . They saved Kensi and Rosa. They did well despite the lack of personnel, and Fatima proved she could still do her job, but she needed time to herself after getting shot on the job. Kilbride is called Fatima. She can take a break from the field. Kensi went home and kept trying to find Rosa. Rosa’s family would be searched for, and if none were discovered, she’d be placed in foster care.
