Industry Season 2 Release Date – New Cast – Trailer – Plot

One of the best TV shocks of 2020 was HBO’s banking drama Industry, which followed a group of young hires at the made-up investment bank Pierpoint & Co. The UK-based show pulled you in with its soapy take on the high-stakes office drama while also offering a scathing assessment of its frequently toxic subject matter. It was packed with sex, drugs, and business jargon. More thrilling and visceral than the previous one, each episode was.

But in the two years since Industry was last on television, we’ve been left to look about at the wreckage and wonder what’s next, like the characters blinking through a day of work after a ketamine-fueled night of revelry. In a post-COVID world, will the company’s constantly-busy open-plan workplace, where everyone is attempting to broker a deal for “half a yard” and going to get a “bevvy” after work, need to change? What is known so far about Industry’s second season is listed below.

Is Industry’s second season on the way?

Yes! Industry got renewed for a second season by HBO on December 10 with showrunners Mickey Down and Konrad Kay serving as executive producers once again.

When will the second season of Industry debut?

Midway through June 2022, HBO announced that Industry would return on Monday, August 1 at 9 p.m. EST and would also be streamable on HBO Max. The company also released some first-look images of the season. Season 2 of the industry has eight episodes.

Industry’s the second season Plot

The second season will “delve into why Harper selected the finance business in the first place, and what her choice means for her life moving forward,” according to co-creator Mickey Down.

At the conclusion of the first season, Harper (Myha’la Herrold) made some significant personal and professional choices. She decided to stick with her ruthless but adoring American boss Eric (Ken Leung) rather than support Sara’s (Priyanga Burford) efforts to create a Pierpont culture that is more welcoming and less demanding, and she had a falling-out with her best friend Yasmin (Marisa Abela) after Harper did turn on their coworker Daria ( She is also running from a trauma related to her brother’s disappearance.

The first look for the upcoming season, which will pick up in real-time, was unveiled by HBO on June 16. Harper, like the rest of us, is dreading being forced back into office. Season 2 will “see her swing back to life, re-energized by new job relationships, new love interests, and a possible lead in the search for her brother,” executive producer Jami O’Brien hinted in a teaser. As a result of the lockout, Harper begins to feel distanced from Eric and is more intent on landing the business of hedge fund billionaire Jesse Bloom.

However, trouble is brewing across the Atlantic as a potential merger might join the London branch with New York City (or vice versa).
