Along with this, the upcoming episodes uncover the true identity of Ethan. Could it be that Ethan’s time with James reveals a deeper connection between the two? Peggy reveals the stolen Dona painting to him, which she had cunningly retrieved from her family’s business bathroom. In the upcoming episodes, James Kachel will express his desire to purchase it, and viewers will finally uncover the secrets of Peggy’s past.

It’s evident that High Desert is on track for a second season as there’s still a significant amount of story left to unfold, which cannot be wrapped up in just the final two episodes of this season. The jury’s still out on this one, but who knows? Maybe the grand finale will tie everything together and shift our emotions.
