Junior Johnson, played by new series regular Marcus Scribner, made his debut as a freshman at Cal U in the season 5 premiere of grown-ish. Junior expended almost all of the episode wondering if going to Cal U was the right choice. He even left his new friends to go to an off-campus white party with Zoey and the rest of the group. And, as is typical for the Johnsons, Junior had a memorable first night. When Zoey walked into the bathroom, she saw her little brother yelling at Kiela. And after a few more drinks, Zoey was surprisingly cool about Junior hooking up with the younger sister of her ex-boyfriend who is now a current co-worker. But Junior still has a chance at Cal U. At the end of the episode, he met up with his potential group of fellow new students.his roommate Zaara. A medical student Slick, who’s just happy to be there, wherever there is. Annika (Justine Skye), a Brooklynite who’s hopefully deeper than she seems, and Zeke, a football player.
