Young Sheldon Season 7 Episode 6 Recap: In the most recent episode of “Young Sheldon,” called “Baptists, Catholics, and an Attempted Drowning,” Georgie (Montana Jordan) and Mandy’s plans for their wedding are the main scenes. Mary finds out that they don’t have to wait to get married at City Hall the following week because they have no reason to change their minds. Audrey McAllister (Rachel Bay Jones ), Mandy’s mother, offers to pay for a bigger, more formal wedding, though.

Mary and Audrey have a debate about where to raise their soon-to-be-grandchild Cece and how to teach her religion. Pastor Jeff Difford (Matt Hobby) is going to baptize Cece in the kitchen sink, which Mary plans behind her back. At the same time, Audrey has her priest baptize Cece without telling Mary or Mandy (Emily Osment). Sheldon (Iain Armitage ) tells Mary (Zoe Perry) what she did because he doesn’t like how his computer was updated without his permission. Audrey also tells Mandy what she did. Mandy feels betrayed, so she plans to marry Georgie right away at City Hall, without their parents’ permission. Georgie, Connie, and Dale all agree with her.

At the end of the show, Georgie realizes how important it is to make Mandy happy. Georgie’s actress Montana Jordan said, “I think Georgie finally figured out happy wife, happy life.” Emily Osment, who plays Mandy, said that the relationship between their characters works because Georgie is more laid-back and focuses on making sure everyone is happy, while Mandy is very careful about how she treats her child and how she raises them religiously.

This episode is from the seventh season of “Young Sheldon,” which is a popular show that comes before “The Big Bang Theory.” Jordan and Osment will both be in a separate show that will start in the 2024–25 season. This spinoff will show more about their characters’ lives, like their upcoming wedding and their best times spent together.
