Higgins’s tricks make Elizabeth feel confused and make her question her own judgment. Elizabeth gets the strength to face Higgins, though, with the help of Nathan, played by Kevin McGarry. She ends up showing him for what he really is and winning the town’s support.

In the meantime, the episode shows how Mike and Mei, are starting to date and how they deal with their new relationship in sweet and touching ways. Lee and Rosemary, played by Kavan Smith and Pascale Hutton, also show how strong they are as a couple. Rosemary’s intelligence and eagerness shine through as she helps Lee take on his new job as mayor.
