Peter Thomas Scolari was an American actor. He was born on September 12, 1955, and was best known for playing Michael Harris on the TV show Newhart from 1984 to 1990 and Henry Desmond on the show Bosom Buddies from 1980 to 1982. Scolari was nominated for three Emmys for his work on Newhart, and his recurring role as Tad Horvath on Girls won him the 2016 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series. Unfortunately, he died on October 22, 2021, after a two-year battle with cancer. The actor who won an Emmy is survived by his wife Tracy Shayne and his four children, Nicholas, Joseph, Kreaton, and Cali. This episode was the first time the series was able to properly remember him. Peter’s collection of work is massive, and we believe he influenced a lot of people in the acting field over the years. He was also a skilled voice actor, holding a long list of credits to his name in that field.
