Janzo Wren and Marvyn are attempting to bring the Kahvi back to life. If they aren’t awoken as soon as possible. They’re all going to perish. Talon pushes Aster to come up with a strategy. His objective is to assassinate all six of them. He then uses his kinj on her, causing her to pass out. She informs Luna when she wakes up that the encounter was unusual.They come to an ancient fortress of the blackbloods. Aster confesses that his greatest love, Talya, is buried beneath the site. Talon discovers that the blackbloods are Aster’s children. Talon recalls a vision she saw of him protecting a child from Golu, the master. As a result, the blackbloods are half-human. Talon and her ancestors are praised by Aster for being prudent and maintaining his kinj. Then Aster talks about Ahl-Kora blades weapons that can defeat the masters.
Talon and Garret reunite and introduces him to Aster. Garret prepares to strike him with his sword, but Talon intervenes. Zed and Wren come to see her. Janzo recognizes that his wren-affected child is yet another variety. Garret convenes a meeting with Talon and the rest of the crew. Before Vorta hands the gold kinjes to them, Janzo explains to Aster that their objective is for Janya to wake the kahvi. The six are nearby and swear to eliminate Aster.
