In “Kiss From A Rose,” episode 6 of Roswell, New Mexico season 4, Michael becomes ill for the first time in his life. Shivani is enlisted by Liz to assist in identifying Michael’s illness’s cause. In the promotional trailer, Bonnie is seen disabling his abilities while working for Tezca. A confusing turn of events occurs after Tezca announced Max’s calling as the Savior on Roswell, New Mexico Season 4 Episode 5 when Max’s powers grow and Michael’s talents vanish. Tezca’s motives for Michael are a little unclear if she wants to put him to death so soon. Why murder Michael before letting him know the full scope of her plans for Alex? Tezca offers to teach Max how to harness his talents as they duel, and she also exposes him to the blue flame because she now has the handprint. Then Tezca sets Jones’s corpse afire. As Liz struggles to extract the alien DNA from Cam, Max lies to her about what occurred with Tezca. Isobel makes a trip to Mexico to assist Kyle with his research. Dallas and Maria go looking for the symbol Dallas saw in a vision at an abandoned church. Dallas recalled planting seedlings there with Theo when they were kids. The Oasian fruit tree that the two discover next is the same one that Maria discovered in her mother’s wedding book. Tezca draws Max into his mental realm and reiterates how he is more powerful than he is aware of. He gives Michael the final octahedron later. After removing “Tezca” from the pod, Kyle and Isobel learn that Eduardo has a daughter called Sonya. They learn that Tezca abducted a crucial artefact from the Valenti residence before placing Sonya into the pod to steal her body.
Clyde informs Michael that Bonnie stole Eduardo while he was looking for him. The two then set out to find Bonnie, who tells Michael that she wants to stay on Earth when they do. He then swears to keep her safe. Cam persuades Liz to confront Max about his deceit after Liz injects Cam with the serum to retrieve Tezca’s alien DNA. He drags Tezca into a mindscape while Max is at the farm, where she teaches him how to summon the blue flame, which he uses to break the link with Tezca. When Liz returns to the farm, the two continue to argue there. Tezca then tells them that she has plans for both Liz and Max. When Max loses control of his abilities, he unintentionally impales Liz with something, forcing him to treat her. The final octahedron is given to Clyde, and when it is placed on the board, a star map of the Oasis emerges. Liz learns from Maria that she no longer experiences visions. Cam departs the city to return to the FBI.
