Riverdale Season Finale: Guest Cast: Ashleigh Murray

The Riverdale episode “A Different Kind of Cat” promises to be fascinating. The highly anticipated Riverdale finale is just around the corner, and the show is going all out to put together an outstanding lineup of guest stars for its final four episodes. Four cherished cast members from previous seasons were recently reintroduced in the show’s episodes, and we may soon anticipate the appearance of a fifth eagerly awaited fan favorite. An exciting development is the formal confirmation that the wonderful Ashleigh Murray will reprise her much-loved role as Josie McCoy in a much-anticipated return to the big screen.

Who is Riverdale’s Josie McCoy?

A Riverdale High School student named Josie McCoy was originally introduced in the show’s premiere episode in 2017. Josie was a talented singer and guitarist who was a part of the popular female band “Josie and the Pussycats.” The ensemble also features Melody by Asha Ashanti and Valerie by Hayley Law.

Throughout the season, Josie and the Pussycats performed and showcased their musical talents at several Riverdale events. But as the event progressed, the band disbanded, and Josie decided to pursue a solo music career. Near the end of Season 3, she took her father on a tour.

Ashleigh Murray, who played Josie McCoy, made cameos in the following seasons of “Riverdale.” She appeared in the Season 4 episode honoring Luke Perry’s character Fred Andrews. During Josie’s tour stop in Season 5 to ask her pals for help in understanding what happened to her father, she also made a comeback.

Furthermore, Ashleigh Murray reprised her role as Josie McCoy in the “Riverdale” spin-off series “Katy Keene,” which made its premiere in 2020. “Katy Keene” followed several personalities as she pursued her goals in New York City, one of which was Josie.
