“Naked and Afraid” is one of the strangest and most intense competition shows on television, if not the strongest. According to Discovery, two candidates meet for the first time and must live in a severe environment for 14 or 21 days. The two collaborate to construct a shelter, search for food, hunt animals, and obtain water. And they have to do it all while wearing nothing. Discovery channel’s 13th season ended in September 2021, with only six episodes. The finale featured two South African fans as they undertook a 14-day challenge in the midst of cape buffalo, torrential rains, and variable weather. Where does Season 14 of ‘Naked and Afraid’ take place and what can fans expect?
Naked and Afraid is back, and the new season of the survival series may be the most difficult yet. The world’s hardest adventurers are leaving their clothes and everyday necessities at home to live, hunt, and thrive in some of the world’s wildest, most punishing, and lonely locations. This time, the contenders will have to survive in a variety of distant settings, including the Chiapas highlands, a Botswana abandoned village, and a Colombian unnerving cave system.
Per the network’s official site: “From the haunted highlands in Chiapas and an abandoned village in Botswana to a complex and unnerving cave system in Colombia, this season takes brave survivalists to places where even the most experienced of Naked and Afraid survivalists have had to tap out. In the middle of a haunted jungle, two survivalists question everything, as strange events plague them. And when two survivalists stumble across an abandoned African village, they’ll learn the hard way what led the villagers to flee and leave everything behind.” This season will take you to previously unseen areas, meet survivalists from all walks of life from rookies to Legends, city slickers to mountaineers and, as always, face unforeseen obstacles at every turn.

Discovery says that Season 14 will also feature the show’s first transgender woman, and another contestant has Asperger’s syndrome. This season also has an episode where kids of two Naked and Afraid All-Stars attempt to see if they can measure up to their parents. They try a 14-day challenge in Mexico similar to what takes place on the show. A former Marine sharpshooter Gabriel and a Mississippi mother Marissa attempt to survive a haunting Colombian marsh for 21 days. Will they are the ones to triumph first?

Extra, for example, notes that Season 13 of the show reintroduced Fernando Calderon and Dani Beauchemin, both of whom had previously appeared on “Naked and Afraid XL.”
