Sons of Anarchy ran for season 7, with the final episode airing on December 9, 2014, and an emotional ending. Fans bid goodbye to a show they consider to be one of the best in recent memory. Fortunately, Producer Kurt Sutter encouraged us to return to the same universe, and as a result, we got with the Mayans MC focused on the Mayans Motorcycle Club. And it has been a wild journey so far, as the fourth season comes to a close, the only thought that comes to our mind is whether Mayans MC Season 5 is confirmed. let’s take a look.
Is Mayans MC ready to return for a fifth season? Will Mayans MC Season 4 be the last one? we have yet to hear word on a season 5 renewal. Keep in mind that this wouldn’t just be the end of Mayans MC; it would also be the end of a franchise. Mayans MC has not been renewed for a fifth season by FX or the creators.
It’s safe to assume that there will be confirmed after the Season 4 finale. Season 3 ended in May 2021, and the series was renewed for a fourth batch of episodes. As a result, there is still time for the good news to reach eager ears.
There are many reasons to be excited. After all, Elgin James is the showrunner. In a 2021 interview with Deadline, he was asked if he thought the Mayans MC could copy his predecessor and ride for seven seasons, and he said: “Sure, and that’s how we determined it, simply because that’s the model we were familiar with.” After that, who knows? Because the shows no longer run for seven seasons, it is possible that there will only be one [more] seasons. We just know that every time we get another day to live, we’re going to make it through.”
The fact that Season 4 is being planned ahead is a positive indicator that can’t be ignored. James was also asked if he had a strategy in mind for Endgame. he said, For sure. I had lunch with John Landgraf between Seasons 2 and 3, and I told him if we’re lucky enough to able to get more seasons to finish the story, this is where we’re going to end up. So, we do know exactly where the whole thing’s going to end.
Elgin James said about season 5 to Deadline (June 14, 2022) We always start with a lot of storylines on the show from Season 1. So we’ve had to go further and further out. Season 4 went back to the peak of how far you can be on a storyline and still make sense. Things were always connected thematically so you have to pay attention. The whole point of this is for Season 5, we can start bringing everything back together. Did you see everybody is coming home? We went far out and now we’re gonna funnel in towards something. I’ll tell you, it’s going to be explosive.
In the end, we’re still hopeful that more of this tale will be revealed. There’s no immediate pressure on the network to bring the show back, since they may take several weeks to figure this out following the finale.
