House of the Dragon Episode 10 Recap

House of the Dragon episode 10 was leaked online, which led to a response from HBO. It appears that the leak came from a distribution partner in Europe, the Middle East, or Africa, a spokesperson for HBO told Variety. Below, you can read what HBO had to say regarding the leaking episode:

“We are aware that the tenth episode of ‘House of the Dragon’ has been posted on illegal torrent sites. It appears to have originated from a distribution partner in the EMEA region,” the full statement reads. “HBO is aggressively monitoring and pulling these copies from the internet. We’re disappointed that this unlawful action has disrupted the viewing experience for loyal fans of the show, who will get to see a pristine version of the episode when it premieres Sunday on HBO and HBO Max, where it will stream exclusively in 4K.”

What to Expect From House of the Dragon Episode 10

In the penultimate episode titled ‘The Green Council’ of House of the Dragon, King Viserys Targaryen passes away, and Queen Alicent insists that his final request was for his son Aegon to succeed him as king rather than his daughter Rhaenyra. The episode provides a wealth of new information, including the knowledge that Aegon had a bastard son at King’s Landing and that Viserys’ council intended to depose Rhaenyra from the throne in advance. The episode ends with a dramatic scene from Aegon’s coronation in which his aunt Rhaenys Targaryen rides her dragon through the grand hall and flees to inform Rhaenyra of her overthrown throne. The conclusion, in particular, prepares the fans for the thrilling HOTD climax, which die-hard fans will be coming in to see on Sunday night.

The title of the finale episode, “The Black Queen,” the teaser suggests that Rhaenys will inform Rhaenyra about Queen Alicent’s plans, causing the Rhaenyra-loyal blacks to get ready for battle with the Queen of Westeros. One of several signs that the Dance of the Dragons is ready to get underway is that the opposing Daemon and Otto appear to be going head-to-head at Dragonstone.

Even though the ending was leaked online, devoted fans will still find it to be an amazing experience. Although there is still room for conjecture on what transpired in the season finale of House of the Dragon, the open online discussion could result in the program being spoiled by those who have unavoidably downloaded and seen the episode. House of the Dragon episode 10 is particularly telling because it emphasizes the impending confrontation and the direction that House of the Dragon season 2 will lead viewers.
