HBO’s Watchmen Debuting in October


HBO has announced American superhero drama television series, Watchmen Debuting in October.  Nicole Kassell directs the pilot from a script written by Emmy® winner for “Lost” Damon Lindelof. There will be nine episodes in the first season.

“Watchmen takes place in an alternative, contemporary reality in the United States, in which masked vigilantes became outlawed due to their violent methods. Despite this, some gather around in order to start a revolution while others are out to stop it before it is too late, as a greater question rises above them all; who watches the Watchmen?”

The cast also includes Jeremy Irons as the aging and imperious Lord of a British Manor; Don Johnsonas Judd Crawford, Tulsa Chief of Police; Jean Smart as FBI Agent Laurie Blake; Tim Blake Nelson as Detective Looking Glass; Louis Gossett Jr.  as Will Reeves; Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Cal Abar; Tom Mison as Mr. Phillips; Frances Fisher as Jane Crawford and Sara Vickers as Ms. Crookshanks. Additional cast include Hong Chau as Lady Trieu, the mysterious trillionaire, Andrew Howard, Jacob Ming-Trent, Dylan Schombing and James Wolk.
