Grey’s Anatomy Season 20 Episode 8 Recap

The episode starts with Helm feeling rejected when Mika asks for space. At the same time, Winston is surprised by Monica’s good mood, which leads to rumors that she and Winston are dating. Jo was going to tell Teddy that she was quitting general surgery, but she finds out that Teddy is taking the day off for herself. Bailey tells the interns that they should study for an upcoming test and congratulates them on getting back into the OR.

Monique and Jules are getting ready to operate on Caroline, a trans girl from Texas, in the juvenile ward. But they find out that they need Amelia’s help with the surgery, which makes things more difficult because Caroline is scared of the process because of bad experiences in the past.

It’s a short time before Caroline and another patient, Emmy, are found filling up on snacks. When Emmy falls down, Monica understands that she is scared but can’t say what she is scared of. Even so, both surgeries go well, showing how well Monica and Amelia can work together.

In another part of the hospital, Dorian is going through a difficult operation, and Bailey and the interns are having trouble. Even though things have gone wrong, Bailey is still eager to save Dorian, who has already escaped death once. Owen and Teddy meet a father and daughter who need medical help after an accident while hiking on their day off. They are rescued and treated with help from Owen and Teddy. Rosie thanks Owen for saving her father’s life.

At the end of the show, Mika tries to make up with Helm, Jules tells Mika about her problems, and Jo talks about why she’s quitting general surgery. Dorian’s situation is still very bad, and Owen tells Teddy about a project that will teach other people how to save lives. At the episode’s end, Amelia asks Monica to go on a date, and Owen asks Catherine for money for his project, which could show that Teddy has been secretly funding Meredith’s Alzheimer’s research.
