FBI Most Wanted Season 3 Episode 18 Recap

Art Weller, a Washington Tribunal journalist, was brutally murdered in a motel room by a man he was meeting. Remy and his crew were assigned the case because it was deemed sensitive because Weller was allegedly working on a report on police corruption. Kristin and Remy went to see Weller after learning from his wife that he had recently gotten into an argument with his best friend Chris, and he was shot in the head by a sniper right in front of them. They eventually raced into the building where the sniper fired the shot and attempted to apprehend him, but he was able to hijack a car with the driver and flee. He was the same person that murdered Weller, but they didn’t realize it at the time.

On the other hand, Hana and Ortiz discovered that Weller had not worked on the police corruption issue in weeks, implying that his assassination was linked to something else. Hana later discovered the man’s identify thanks to security camera footage, and his name was Farzad Nuri. He was an Afghani interpreter for Chris and Weller’s army unit in Afghanistan, and he was offered refugee in the United States but never received it. As a result, it was possible that he was murdering all those he felt had used him. Ortiz and Kristin went to Farzad’s immigrant home and learned that a certain man used to aid Farzad with anything he needed, and Farzad referred to him as GI Joe. As Remy and Hana dug deeper into identifying this GI Joe, they discovered that he was an ex-military man named Joe Haas. This also explains how Farzad obtained the sniper rifle used in Chris’s murder. They also discovered Joe and Farzad’s next target, Raahul Azizi, a Harvard professor and the Afghan author of a well-known book claiming that the US army should never have been in Afghanistan in the first place. Joe was clearly enraged by what Azizi wrote, while Farzad believed Azizi was a traitor.

Finally, they put Azizi on a live stream and told him to apologise for what he wrote, after which Farzad beheaded him in Taliban style. Farzad’s pursuit of Azizi, on the other hand, seemed illogical. Fortunately, the team was able to retrieve Weller’s laptop from Farzad’s residence following more research and conclusions. They probed deeper and learned that Farzad was not his real name, but that he was a Taliban member named Badi Wazeer. After a military drone attack killed numerous Taliban soldiers and civilians, he was plotting his own vengeance against the Americans. Farzad and Joe’s next target, the team discovered, was an event at MIT where an Afghani girl’s science organisation was honouring their accomplishments. To kill everyone, Farzad and Joe built a drone and attached an automatic gun to it. Thankfully, Ortiz and Kristin killed Joe, the drone’s pilot, while Remy and Hana killed Farzad and shot down the drone.
