Doom Patrol Season 3 Episode 4 Recap

Madame Rouge is still seeking to gain answers from the titular team in this episode, which picks up where Episode 3 left off. Cliff and Jane are finally able to digest everything that has happened to them. Cliff can be seen attempting to communicate with neurologists about his brain and limbs not functioning properly. Jane starts by creating a scarecrow-like representation of Niles Caulder. Vic confronts his father about what he uncovered in the afterlife while this is going on. Vic is curious if there is a method to save his life without altering his appearance. As a result, Silas Stone is upset and admits that they might have used synthetic skin technology. Vic is understandably enraged and removes himself from his father as a result.

Madame Rouge is escorted to the living area by Rita. Madame Rouge discovers the keylock that Rita’s key unlocks after some tense sequences with Rita being over-attached because of the insignia she saw in Rouge’s vehicle. Madame Rouge discovers a movie. The two people on television perform the same dance as Rouge. She also discovers her true name, Laura DeMille, and that she is a bird. When DeMille enters the corridor to proclaim her christening, she encounters a zombified Doom Patrol. Larry is the one to whom Rita confides her difficulties. Larry discloses to Rita that he is dying after a brief outburst and that the Negative Spirit transported him to space one more time before he died. Cliff was the first to suspect it was due to the afterlife’s terrible spider woman.

Kipley appears just before they are ready to attack Laura DeMille. He informs everyone at Doom Mansion that a man has stolen The Chief’s head. The Doom Patrol, Kipley, and Madame Rouge journey to the man who took Chief’s head’s barn through a Kipley-created portal. The were-butt howls like a werewolf, and Kipley, DeMille, and the Doom Patrol are attacked by an army of killer butts. They fight all of the killer butts and return their loathed Chief’s head. Niles informs his long-time friend that he has figured out how to stop his team’s zombie apocalypse. He claims that the only way to fix his squad is to feed them his head. Niles’ brain and head are eaten by the squad. After that, they are returned to their original states.
