Seinfeld producer Jeff Schaffer, Burd created Dave. Burd, nicknamed Lil Dicky, plays a neurotic, exaggerated version of himself, destined for rap glory. Burd and his team’s challenges are represented in the comedy. Despite a difficult start in Season 1, Dave has become FX’s most-watched comedy with an average audience of 5.32 million viewers per episode. Season two has received a 91 percent good reviewer rating on Rotten Tomatoes. A new season of Dave with Dave Burd and Benny Blanco is coming to FXX.
Dave Season 3 Release Date
FX Networks renewed the sitcom after its second season ended in August. Dave Season three will air in 2023. Dave seasons 1 and 2 are now streaming on FX on Hulu.
What happened in Dave Season 2?
Dave season 2 deals with Dave’s attempts to record his debut album and his breakup with Ally (Taylor Misiak). To create an album puts him in conflict with his real-life friend, creative partner and hype man GaTa who decides to step out of Dave’s shadows and become his own rapper. Finally, during the VMAs, the two men mend their relationship with a powerful duet of “We Good,” paving the way for their future collaboration.

Dave also stars Andrew Santino, Travis “Taco” Bennett, and Christine Ko, in addition to Burd, Blanco, GaTa, and Misiak. It included Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner, Kevin Hart, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Lil Nas X.
