Cruel Summer Season 2 Release Date: When can we expect the second season of Cruel Summer to air?

Unfortunately, as of June 4th, 2022, there is no word on when Cruel Summer season two will be released. Cruel Summer will return with new episodes in 2022, according to executive producer Jessica Biel (yes, that Jessica Biel), although it will be out of sync with the season one release timetable, which occurred in April. But they didn’t even begin filming until that month so we expect to look at a deadline of the end of the year.

Cruel Summer Season 2 Release Date Confirmed

Season 2 of “Cruel Summer” will begin with two episodes on Freeform on June 5 and on Hulu the following day, as has been confirmed by the network. The first episodes will air at 9 p.m. ET/PT, and the show will move to its regularly scheduled hour at 10 p.m.

Cruel Summer Season 2 New Cast

The following actors will be part of the Cruel Summer Season 2 cast:

• Sadie Stanley as Megan
newcomer Eloise Payet as Isabella
• Griffin Gluck as Luke
• KaDee Strickland
• Paul Adelstein
• Sean Blakemore
• Lisa Yamada
Lexi Underwood joins the series on April 27, 2022, replacing Payet in a recasting. Braeden De La Garza, Nile Bullock, and Jenna Lamb were cast in recurring roles for the second season on May 6, 2022.

Olivia Holt, Aurelia, Froy Gutierrez, Harley Quinn Smith, Blake Lee, Allius Barnes, Sarah Drew, Andrea Anders, Nathaniel Ashton, and Michael Landes will not be reprising their roles from Season 1.

What will happen in the second season of Cruel Summer?

Cruel Season Season 2 will be set “in a picturesque seaside village in the Pacific Northwest,” with the show exploring “the rise and fall” of a close teenage connection.

The upcoming episodes will take place in a picturesque coastal village in the Pacific Northwest, and will explore the growth and fall of a youthful friendship as a result of a tangled and twisted love triangle. Season two will be tackled from three separate scenarios surrounding the Year 2000, similar to how season one was approached from three different timelines in the 1990s. The season will follow Megan, Isabella, and Megan’s best friend Luke as they form a friendship, as well as a mystery that will affect all of their lives in the future.

Cruel Summer Season 2 Locations

Cruel Summer’s first season was shot over a six-month period in Dallas, Texas.   Filming for the second season began on April 21, 2022, and is expected to wrap on August 18, 2022, in Richmond, British Columbia.
