Due to the epidemic, Ed was unable to install a boiler in his building. He hopes she could go back in time and fix everything. Bull appreciates his efforts. Meanwhile, Dani discusses her plans to hike Mount Kilimanjaro with Marissa and Taylor. Marissa pays Bull a visit to his workplace. She explains how they’ll pitch their services to a large boutique firm. This concept appeals to Bull. Their client Ed is later arrested for homicide. The ADA, Chunk’s arch-nemesis, is with the arresting officer. Bull believes it’s all a publicity stunt. He intends to defeat him for the third time. Bull and Marissa devise a strategy. Ed, she’ll meet with the boutique law firm, and Bull will assist Chunk. They’re on their way to jury selection. In the background, Taylor assists them. She receives an emeritus and is forced to flee. Bull gets inventive, pouring water on Chunk to see which jurors are sympathetic. Meanwhile, Marissa pitches one of the boutique firm’s partners before spotting Bradley, her old partner, arrive to meet the same lawyer she is attempting to persuade.

The next day, Marissa and Taylor reconnect. Taylor’s child had sparked a fight the day before at school and required stitches. Hopefully, she will be able to persuade him to behave. Since his father departed, he has been acting out. Bradley irritates Marissa. As Rob interrogates a man who lost a loved one in the accident, Chunk, and Bull stands by. The individual claims he met Ed one day and noticed he was inebriated. Taylor meets with the teacher of her son. Her son, she believes, has ADHD. Meanwhile, Marissa informs the legal firm’s partner that she has conducted a simulated trial in preparation for her real trial and that she will lose. Marissa discovers she was correct. The company wants to collaborate with her and Bull. Bull and Chunk pay a visit to Ed’s office. Someone damaged cables to the boiler, they discover. Ed had been set up. Chunk and Bull try to reason with Rob, but he still believes Ed is to blame. Bull believes they should go all-in. They get together for a meeting. They assume a tenant, a woman named Christy, is to blame after some investigation, arguing with Ed about being behind on rent.

Ed explains his fight with Christy on the stand. She was unable to pay her rent. She could have just snipped the wire and avoided paying. Meanwhile, Marissa discovers that the boutique has decided not to work with her and Bull after all. They think she’s a jerk for quitting TAC and then returning. Danny locates Christy, who claims that the maintenance man warned her not to meddle with Ed. She flees and refuses to tell Danny anything else. Marissa and Bull are informed by Danny. He claims that he does not believe Ed is wicked. They must disregard everything. Chunk makes his final remarks. Bull begins to have reservations. Meanwhile, Marissa leaves the boutique law firm’s most important client dumbfounded. She returns to her office. She raises a glass to the squad. Bull isn’t having it. Ed enters the room. He wishes to speak with Bull in private. He makes a chilly confession about a woman he murdered years ago. His groundskeeper was blackmailing him. He understands that telling Bull is privileged. As Ed walks away, Bull is speechless.
