The Golden Bachelor, a new dating series on ABC, will star 71-year-old Indiana grandfather Gerry Turner. Turner will have a second chance to find a spouse to spend his golden years with thanks to the show, which is centered on older people looking for love. Toni Turner, Gerry Turner’s wife, passed away in 2017, but he thinks she would approve of his new endeavor.
A casting call for The Golden Bachelor took place in February 2020, and a series order was made in May. Women with a lifetime of experience will be featured in the program, hoping to make a connection that will lead to a bright future.
It will be a part of ABC’s unscripted lineup on Mondays at 10/9c, immediately after two-hour episodes of Dancing With the Stars.
