When they arrive at his first love’s address, they discover it is empty. They remain at a neighboring lodge, undeterred in their hunt, where a sly clue eventually takes them to Frank’s first love, Claire (Lisa Huget). Meanwhile, Megan discovers that Steve (Niall Matter), the man she met earlier, is the lodge’s owner. She assists him with some of his holiday obligations, and the two quickly become friends and discover that they share similar ambitions for the future. Megan is reminded not to give up on her aspirations or her emotions as she assists Frank in pursuing a second shot at love. In the end, these unexpected companions discover that the closest family we can have is the one we create.
