Tubi has just released a teaser trailer for the upcoming direct-to-streaming movie “WYNONNA EARP: VENGEANCE,” set to hit their platform soon. Fans of Syfy‘s “WYNONNA EARP” series are thrilled as the beloved cast reunites for this exciting special. The movie will also have a presence at San Diego Comic-Con with a panel on Saturday in room 6A, where more details and a full trailer might be unveiled.
“WYNONNA EARP: VENGEANCE” is supposed to bring back the magic that made the first two movies so popular. While the show never got the highest ratings, it did have a group of dedicated fans called “Earpers” and got some of the best reviews of any Syfy show. The four-season show followed Wynonna Earp, a descendant of the famous lawman Wyatt Earp, as she fought evil spirits in Purgatory, where she grew up. The show’s success was mostly due to the great acting of its whole cast and its unique mix of scary supernatural situations and funny situations.
The movie was announced in February, and it was revealed that the special was written by Emily Andras, who used to run the show. The return of Melanie Scrofano as Wynonna Earp, Tim Rozon as Doc Holliday, Dominique Provost-Chalkley as Waverly Earp, and Katherine Barrell as Nicole Haught will make fans very happy. The special is being directed by Paolo Barzman, who has also worked on the show before.
“WYNONNA EARP” is based on the comic book of the same name by Beau Smith, part of the ’90s indie/Image boom that saw many books adapted for the screen. Emily Andras has hinted that “WYNONNA EARP: VENGEANCE” will pick up where Season 4 left off. Doc and Wynonna have been on an adventure, while Waverly and Nicole have been holding down the fort in Purgatory. The special will explore their stories and the challenges they face, blending favorite character moments with themes of growth and self-discovery.
