Chainsaw Man Episode 1 Synopsis

Dog and Chainsaw is the title of the first episode. Denji is a young man paying off his father’s debt to the Yakuza by killing devils. After a betrayal, he is reborn as the devil-human hybrid Chainsaw Man.

Kikunosuke Toya plays Denji, Tomori Kusunoki plays Makima, Shogo Sakata plays Aki Hayakawa, Fairouz Ai plays Power, Shiori Izawa plays Pochita, Mariya Ise plays Himeno, Karin Takahashi plays Kobeni Higashiyama, Taku Yashiro plays Hirokazu Arai, and Kenjiro Tsuda plays Kishibe.
The new anime Chainsaw Man is directed by Ryu Nakayama for studio MAPPA, and its first season will consist of 12 episodes (each with a unique ending tune). The writing was handled by Hiroshi Seko, with character designs coming from Kazutaka Sugiyama, action direction from Tatsuya Yoshihara, demon design from Kiyotaka Oshiyama, and musical composition from Kensuke Ushio.

In order to be revived as “Chainsaw Man,” a man with a devil’s heart, he makes a deal with Pochita as his consciousness begins to fade.”
