The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 Episode 6 Recap

Aunt Julia is eager to complete the deal and give Conrad and Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno) the keys to the new family who have purchased the cherished beach cottage. Skye, Julia’s daughter, tries to persuade Mom to rethink the sale after learning that they prefer the beach and want to remain.

We go back in time to “Christmas,” a previous Christmas that caused tension between Julia and her sister Susannah Fisher (Rachel Blanchard). Susannah lacks empathy after hearing Julia overhear her stepmother criticizing her presence, which leads to a breach between them. Isabel “Belly” Conklin (Lola Tung) makes the decision to hold a huge celebration in Susannah’s honor, evoking a previous party Susannah had hosted, as their final night at the beach house draws near.

Belly feels as though she let Susannah down as the party devolves into mayhem due to fighting, spray paint, and vomiting. Tensions develop between Conrad Fisher (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah as they work together to prepare for the celebration. Belly confronts the complexities of their relationship after an argument with Conrad on the beach prompts her to stand up for herself.

Jeremiah describes his love for the beach house and how important it is to him in his dreams. While helping Cam Cameron gather supplies for the celebration, Skye (Elsie Fisher) talks to him about their regrets and goals. Taking their relationship to a new level, Skye and Cam kiss. Taylor (Rain Spencer) breaks up with her boyfriend Milo after an argument, while Steven confides in Taylor about his emotions for her.

The Fisher family members respond differently when Skye learns that their family will be able to rent the beach house for a week each summer. Jeremiah confronts Conrad about his behavior, calling him a coward for giving up on the house and their relationship. He also expresses displeasure with him.

Conrad encounters an emotional and inebriated Belly on the beach, which sparks a heartbreaking exchange in which they both vent their emotions and misunderstandings regarding their previous relationship. Taylor kisses Steven after splitting up with Milo.

The episode concludes with a wild party scene, the house in disorder, and Belly crying as she phones her mother for help and comfort. She reveals her weakness as a teenager when she calls her mother while intoxicated and begs her to come and “fix” things.

Love, miscommunication, regret, and the intricacy of relationships are some of the themes that are covered throughout the episode of The Summer I Turned Pretty. The plot is driven by the character’s feelings and actions, and their interactions affect how they deal with their relationships and personal struggles.
