The Good Doctor Season 4 Episode 20 Recap of “Vamos”

The second part of The Good Doctor Season 4 finale was a shocking and heartbreaking emotional episode. In the episode titled “Vamos”, the team at St. Bonaventure Hospital is on a surgical mission in Guatemala.

Shaun (Freddie Highmore) tells Lea (Paige Spara) that if he feels better going home, that’s fine. Three surgeries are on but suddenly the power goes out and the generator is not working. Lim tells the team to come up with elective surgery plans.

 

Dr. Audrey Lim (Christina Chang) and Dr. Mateo Rendón (Osvaldo Benavides) are in bed, Dr. Mateo reveals that he is American but was born in Mexico, an accent he uses for sexy purposes. Back at the hospital, Claire sits down with one of the patient’s daughters and tries to please her.

Dr. Marcus Andrews (Hill Harper) flirts with Nurse Ana Morales (Esmeralda Pimentel), Morales notices her wedding ring. Andrews reveals that his wife Isabel (Marsha Thomson) had left him for another man. . Marcus apologizes for flirting with her. Morales says you want to save your marriage so you are still wearing the ring.

Shaun made a video call to Glassman (Richard Schiff). Shaun tells that Lee is sad, how to reduce her sadness. Glassman tells Shaun that he is smart and can do anything, he is good at it, better than he thinks.

Back in bed beside Lim and Mateo, he tells her that he ended up in Guatemala because it’s a good job, he gets to help people, and sometimes he gets to have sex with American women. Get. He asks her what is she hiding.

Lea is still with the mother in the ICU, their baby is on a ventilator and manually pumping oxygen into the baby’s lungs, Shaun comes into the room and smiles at Lea, and he tells her to stop pumping. The baby is fine and breathes on her own. Mother gives Lea to hold the child. Lea tells Mother that her daughter is very beautiful.

Claire’s patient has gall bladder cancer and has spread. She talks to Shaun about the patient. Shaun tells her he’s good at it, better than she thinks. The relationship deepens in surgery, Lim tells Mateo she has PTSD, has lost a good friend to COVID. Mateo also reveals his truth that he had an excellent warrant in the US arising from his arrest for pot conditions during his residency that “became physical.” Claire (Antonia Thomas) performs complex surgery despite her lack of experience. and in the end, the patient survives.

Dr. Morgan (Fiona Gubelmann) and Alex Park (Will Yun Lee) both together, Morgan says she needs a friend and hates failing. Park laughs. he inspired, she doesn’t fail, she kicks at everything. Meanwhile, Claire’s patient is recovering, Claire informs the patient’s daughter.

It’s time to say goodbye to Guatemala, on the bus, Morgan wishes Park and Heather the best. He says, he broke up with Heather last night. Morgan and Park express their love for each other.

Matteo talks to Lim about the decades-old warrant for his arrest. He is thinking of getting a lawyer to come to see him in San Jose. Mateo asks him if he would like a visitor.

Carla offers Claire to stay as a surgeon at the clinic. Lim advises Claire to take a job, but Claire says she doesn’t know the language and has just started a relationship with her father. Lim tells her that maybe too much care needs to be taken here. Both hug.

Outside the bus, at the airport, Claire hugs everyone to say goodbye, everyone gets emotional. when she meets Shaun. He says, “I hope you’re moving on.”I think I’m Shaun,” replied Claire. Shaun says he never hugged her, he hugs her, then he leaves. Claire gets back on the bus with Mateo.

Lea tells Shaun that she is not going to Hershey and wants to spend the rest of her life with him. Lea proposes marriage to Shaun. Shaun said yes! Then shouted, “We’re getting married,” he said immediately, “I’ll have to tell Claire.”

At the end of the episode, we see Claire, along with Carla, in surgery and is overjoyed. Claire begins patient Miguel’s (Javier Lacroix) first surgery. Miguel’s faithful dog sat patiently outside, waiting for him to return.
