At the play, Darlene is uneasy, so when called to the stage, she declines. Ben admonishes her to relax and claims that she is evolving into her father. Darlene storms off in a rage. Darlene becomes aware of her resemblance to her father while sitting on the couch with Dan. Dan asserts that there is nothing wrong with wanting to lounge on the sofa at home, but he does value Louise’s insistence that he leave the house so that he doesn’t let life pass him by. Darlene expresses regret for sabotaging Ben’s night out. She consents to spend two nights out each week.
