The Big Leap Episode 1 Recap

The Big Leap’s first episode begins with a flashback to seven years ago. Gabby Lewis (Simone Recasner) assists Justin (Raymond Cham Jr.), her obviously a gay best friend, in choreographing a dance. Unfortunately, Gabby discovers his truth later that evening. Gabby is pregnant since the boy she had sex with previously did not use protection. Let’s fast forward to today, and Gabby is rushing her son to school before heading to her office job. She was also just promoted to office manager. Mike, on the other hand, is caught in the past, with the sting of his divorce still fresh in his mind. Julia (Teri Polo), who is fighting to keep her head above water while competing with other influencers. Her spouse isn’t very understanding, and they haven’t had sex in almost a year.

The Big Leap, a new dancing competition, attracts all three of these individuals. They’re performing Swan Lake, but the competition is set up like a traditional talent show. Gabby and Justin haven’t spoken in seven years, since that party. Gabby is hoping Justin will join her. Thousands of others have made the decision to participate as well. However, only a few participants will be chosen to participate in the Big Leap production. The auditions are hysterically funny. Justin and Gabby are in a competition. Gabby takes a step to the right. Justin, on the other hand, breezes through to the next round.

Somewhere else, turmoil erupts between Mike and his ex-wife, which the hungry producers outside hurriedly record. While this private moment is captured on film, Julia and her husband are having difficulties in their marriage. Gabby addresses the judges the next day and gets herself a second chance. This is accomplished by teaching a disgraced football player how to dance. If she succeeds, she will be permitted to return to the program. Reggie and Gabby have fantastic chemistry. Gabby, on the other hand, is concerned about her weight, but Reggie makes her feel better. Despite this, they make it onto the stage and perform their audition together. The judges are taken aback. Gabby attempts to hold back tears as rapturous applause breaks out. Nick, the executive producer, resolves to do everything in his power to figure out who Gabby is because she is the show’s star.
