Roswell New Mexico Season 4 Episode 8 Recap

In an effort to contact Alex, Maria conducts a seance. Rosa returns to Roswell to assist in the search for Alex. Isobel and Michael go to the barn in the hopes that it may bring back some memories for Isobel. Liz explains to Max that they think Alex is missing but asks him not to inform Michael. Later, Michael and Max discover Dallas’s vehicle and a bible verse. Liz decided it would be preferable to wait before alerting Michael that Alex is missing in order to save him additional suffering. Maria made a concerted effort to connect with Alex once more after getting the assurance that he never checked in with Deep Sky. Rosa came to help and encourage Maria in the hopes that she may use her echolocation abilities to help. They did find locusts as they walked in Mimi’s footsteps, just as she did when she would stray through the desert. Sadly, Michael, who was close, overheard them talking about Alex going missing. Michael was first in shock, but he gradually came to terms with the painful reality that his partner had been absent the entire time without his knowledge. Michael was devastated and enraged at his pals for hiding this from him.

Max was undoubtedly incorrect for not standing by his brother, and Michael felt betrayed by him for concealing the secret. Max hasn’t been making the best decisions on how to deal with things because he’s been running from his own nature. Liz visited Michael to assist in regaining his capabilities while she was working on the treatment to neutralize Bonnie’s abilities. She expressed regret and gave a justification for keeping the facts from him, but it was clear that Michael was primarily to a fault. He skipped the future he had been constructing because he was too preoccupied with his past to notice. They attempted to get in touch with Alex once again after he apologized to Maria and Rosa at the Crazy Pony. Michael recognized the song as they heard the lovely music coming from the keyboard. It was the song that Alex had composed about their union. Alex guided them to Michael’s car, where he kept an old map, using the lights. They were directed to Grant’s Pass using the light pendant Michael has been wearing.

When they discovered Theo’s glasses case, which Maria knew Dallas had, they realized they were in the right spot. Max arrived just in time to assist Maria in escaping the quicksand when she was on the verge of being trapped in it. Through the sand, Maria was able to look into another reality where she discovered Alex’s pendant. Max understood he had to keep his head in the game and that Alex wouldn’t want him to just leap in when Michael wanted to go in to rescue his boyfriend. Michael completely broke down under the pressure of knowing his boyfriend was nearby but being unable to reach him. Michael’s stunning performance in this episode really captured his hurt and rage. Despite his possible annoyance at being left out, you could sense his fury at himself for not paying attention. Liz’s efforts to restore Michael’s cells caused a change in their dynamic. Throughout the episode, they became more open with one another, but Liz later learned of another secret of Shivani’s. In an effort to bring her daughter Nicole back from the dead, she had Nicole cryogenically frozen. Shivani thinks Liz’s success with the alien cells may help human cells regenerate. Liz attempted to reason with Shivani when she had some of the mist on herself. They both passed out from the fumes after Shivani dropped the full bottle of the mist. Isobel learned of her relationship with Tezca in addition to these other disclosures. Before Jones managed to change her opinions so that she was on his side, it appears that she had been her teacher. Additionally, he had hoped to employ Liz for the landing.
