He wants Liz’s theories so he can make more clones, then he’ll leave the world, leaving Liz to save Max’s life with science. He also informs her that he set fire to his planet in order to start again and make the globe a better place. Heath is able to communicate with Dallas, and he, Michael, Isobel, Rosa, and Max work together to release Liz, Heath, and the Sheriff. Michael is working on shackles to limit Jones’ talents, Isobel and Rosa are on their way to the Long farm in search of another sword, and Dallas plans to imprison Max.

When Max discovers the cage has been dismantled, he allows Dallas to kill him if necessary, but Dallas believes God wants him to keep Max alive. Rosa reconnects with Wyatt while Isobel seeks a sword to battle Jones. Liz agrees to Jones’ terms provided he agrees to release Sheriff Taylor. So he does, but he persuades her to track down Dallas and bring him into the mansion under duress, putting Heath in jeopardy. While Isobel and Jones struggle, Michael, Isobel, and Max infiltrate the mansion, with Michael accessing the Sheriff’s head to persuade her to lower the gun she has pointed at everyone. Dallas threatens Max’s life and demands that Jones plead for his life. Jones eventually locks everyone in his head, despite the fact that he is surrounded by them.
