Jughead’s (Cole Sprouse) whereabouts remained a mystery as bloody handprints were placed on his entire manuscript. At last, it turns out that he is alive. Since Season 5 began, Jughead Jones has been working on completing his novel. Archie and his friends have reunited seven years after going their own way at the start of the season. Unfortunately, things haven’t improved for Jughead, who is still trying to nail down the expected sequel to his first work.

MÄDCHEN AMICK DIRECTS THE EPISODE – Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) enlists the help of Archie (KJ Apa), Kevin (Casey Cott), Fangs (Drew Ray Tanner) and Reggie (Charles Melton) after she learns there is palladium underneath her maple groves. Meanwhile, Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Alice (Mädchen Amick) confront a trucker who may have been involved in Polly’s disappearance. Elsewhere, Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and Archie each confront events from their past. Erinn Westbrook also stars. Mädchen Amick directed the episode written by James DeWille.

Riverdale Season 5 Episode 13 Recap

Archie dreams of serving in the army and helping a soldier named Jackson who has lost a limb. Archie learns that Eric has a rifle and is also suffering from army nightmares. Tabitha assists Betty in her secret trucking job, only to fall into a trap set by the FBI and Glenn. Tabitha proposes that they develop a database to entice truck drivers and track down the highway killer the next day, and Fangs agrees to the plan.

Kevin is seen by Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) lurking in the woods late at night. invites him to join his ministry to find his purpose. Kevin reluctantly accepts, but he is not impressed with the service, which he informs Cheryl the next day. Kevin confesses to her how things ended with Fangs. Kevin visits Fangs (Drew Ray Tanner) and learns that he is on a date with Moose. Kevin seeks advice from Cheryl, who asks him to assist with the trucker’s trap. Later, Kevin is in trouble over whether or not he is on the right track in life, and Cheryl proposes that he try to rekindle his creative mojo by building a ministry of “Jesus Christ Superstar”.  Archie talks about what happened with Eric, and Frank gives them a new dog, adopted by Archie’s platoon, and lost in the battle, a dog named Bingo.

In the flashback nightmare, Eric forces Archie not to go to Crossfire in order to save Bingo. Eric wakes up to inform Archie that the dog had gone missing, but the dog was only taking a nap in a closet. Archie tracks down the dogfighter and beats him up, threatening him if he hurts the other dog again. Later, the dogs are freed from Dog Fighter, and an adoption day is held at El Royale. Archie agrees with Eric’s suggestion that they call the new dog Bingo.

In Coyote Ugly Bar, Betty, Tabitha, Veronica and Cheryl play “Nothing But a Good Time” and they successfully obtain the phone number for the suspect list. Betty agrees to board the truck of another trucker who arrives late and appears suspicious at the pop. The trucker pulls a knife – and later a chainsaw – at Betty in the middle of his journey. As Tabita arrives for backup, she knocks him unconscious with a wrench. Betty suggests holding the truck driver hostage until he reveals Polly’s location, after which they hand him over to the FBI.

Veronica tries to re-enter the world of stock trading. Reggie offers to work as a merchant for him. Veronica and Reggie (Charles Melton) are both successful in their business, and Reggie eventually informs Veronica that the Sodel project was a ploy to help Hiram fund his hunt for palladium. The investors decide to be hunted by Veronica and Reggie. What turns out to be effective.  The moment Eric and Archie learn that Bingo (the soldier) died on the battlefield, he is depicted in a flashback nightmare. Archie gets a call and notices a dead bingo in the corner of the room. He also seeks psychological help.
