The ninth episode of ‘Only Murders in the Building,’ titled ‘Double Time,’ will deal with the fallout from the discovery that the Dimases are unlikely to be the killers of Tim Kono. It’s still unclear who the killer is. we’ll learn what happened to Charles’ lover, Jan, who he discovered stabbed and unconscious at the close of the previous episode. Given that Jan and Oscar are the only two persons outside of the trio who are deeply involved in Tim’s death inquiry, the killer’s choice of them makes logical. We also know that Tim was poisoned before being shot and that this was the cause of his death, so we could see at least two new suspects in the next episode. The trio will have to be extra cautious in the future after their blunder with the Dimases. Is Jan going to be okay? Is there another assassination going on in the building? Only Murders in the Building Episode 8 Recap
A group of individuals sits outside the Arconia in the first scene of the episode. They are podcast listeners who are clamoring for more episodes. They had no idea that Mabel and Oliver have vanished. Mabel and Oliver are seen in the rear of Theo’s van. Theo eventually comes to a halt in front of a warehouse and opens the doors. Teddy approaches. He speaks with Oliver and Mabel before loading them into another vehicle. Teddy discusses his jewelry with Oliver and Mabel. He claims he was not engaged in the murder of Tim Kono and requests that the broadcast be ended. Teddy further claims that they must inform his listeners that Tim was not murdered and that they were mistaken.
When Oliver and Mabel arrive home, they see their supporters waiting for them outside. They rush to Charles’ apartment, where they are greeted by Jan. Teddy’s threat is soon relayed to Charles by Oliver and Mabel. Jan and Charles had knowledge of what they discovered on Tim’s phone. Mabel persuades Charles and Oliver to report Teddy’s murder to Detective Williams. She instructs them to distribute the phone-related podcast episode. Mabel, Charles, and Oliver prepare to assemble the case. Jan enters with refreshments, and Oscar follows suit. Tim’s link, Oscar claims, gave him the ring from the night Zoe died.
Oliver and Charles are summoned to a meeting by Mabel. They need the fans’ cooperation to figure out the “how” of the case, Oliver says. Fans begin to inquire as to why Tim was on Teddy’s floor. They’re right, and Oliver now believes the suicide notes in the garbage bag were actually death threats from Teddy. Oliver has the audience act out what happened on Tim’s death night. The trio has completed its recording session. Detective Williams finishes listening to the episode in which Teddy is exposed. Teddy’s flat is raided by the cops.
Oscar is exonerated after Mabel shows him a video of Tim taken from his phone. Oliver receives a call from Detective Williams, who expresses his gratitude. But then she sees the toxicological report’s findings. Oliver learns from the detective that Tim was poisoned, and the gunshot wound occurred after he died. Charles becomes enraged since Jan was correct all along that another suspect exists. When he arrives to deliver her flowers, he discovers her door is open. She’s bleeding profusely on the floor from what appears to be a stab wound!
