According to a background check completed by Higgins, her record is spotless, but a case involving the death of one of her teen clients, Ani, troubles her, and Higgins offers to look into it. Higgins, on the other hand, is undecided about her feelings for Ethan, who is currently based in Kenya. A deep investigation into Ani’s death finds that she had a lover named Will who no one knew about, which leads her to a conclusion about her love life.

Aside from that, her social media accounts have been suspended, and she died of a Xanax overdose. The detectives learn of a horrible bet she had with Will, as well as Amanda’s advice to kill herself with the Xanax she supplied her. Meanwhile, Gordon Katsumoto’s ex-wife Beth and son Dennis are kidnapped by two thugs, leaving him critically injured. Magnum assists the harrowed father in locating and apprehending the carjackers. Dennis hopes that his parents’ marriage will be rekindled, but Katsumoto is far from ready. When Higgins eventually finishes her session with Dr. Ogawa, she appears to think that Magnum is the perfect man for her!
