Netflix’s Latest Releases to Watch Before 2023 Ends

We’re just two months away from 2024, which means you have a few more weeks to enjoy some of the best content Netflix has recently released. Most of us already know that Netflix can produce some of the best films and TV series out there. But let’s be real — not all of their releases hit the right spots. And with 2023 being one of Netflix’s biggest years, of course, they have released some of the best films and TV shows you should definitely not miss.

So, in this post, we’ll be sharing six of Netflix’s latest releases this 2023 that we recommend you watch before the year ends. But first, make sure to have a stable connection, whether you have AT&T or HughesNet Internet, so that you can really enjoy these stories without constant buffering. Are you ready? Let’s start!

Best 2023 Movies to Watch on Netflix

  1. The Killer

This film is about a great assassin who’s cold and spends most of his time alone. He’s just watching, observing, and waiting for his next target. However, he had an unfortunate miss with one of his targets, and then when he comes home, he discovers that his girlfriend is in a hospital, extremely beaten up but alive.

He then goes on a revenge tour to avenge what happened to his girlfriend and make sure to prevent it from happening again. Will he lose his mind along the way? Maybe. Maybe not.

2. Pain Hustlers

Chris Evans and Emily Blunt in one movie? You got it. Pain Hustlers is about Liza, played by Emily Blunt, who simply aims for a better life for her daughter. She decided to work for a pharmaceutical company that was already bankrupt. To her surprise, even being a new employee, her sales went up, which led to her being up in the high life.

Honestly, there were a lot of negative reviews regarding this movie. But for us, it was worth watching. It’s tackling a real-life issue that many of us are already aware of, and Emily was able to carry the entire movie with her acting skills along with Chris Evans. It would be better if this film were made available on other streaming platforms like Dish TV because it’s a great one.

3. Bodies

If you like watching movies and TV series that have crime and sci-fi elements, like Tom Cruise’s Minority Report, then Bodies will be a great series for you to watch. It’s about four detectives who are living in four different timelines. The catch? They need to solve one murder case that happened in Whitechapel. This film is really interesting, and it’s a bit creepy too, but it’s definitely a good watch.

4. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

In case you missed it in the theaters, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is already available on Netflix for a limited time. The animated movie is about Miles Morales and his journey across the Multiverse to face the most powerful villain they have ever encountered in their lives. He’ll be with a new team of Spider-People and Gwen Stacy throughout this adventure. A definite watch for Marvel fans!

 5. Old Dads

Old Dads is an unapologetic comedy-drama series that brings a fresh perspective to the challenges of fatherhood. It’s about three best friends and business partners who decided to sell their company, hoping to live their best lives. However, this decision took a wrong turn when an eccentric millennial took over the business. Their adventure begins as they try to win their families and self-respect, all while balancing the challenges of fatherhood.

Overall, Old Dads is a fun movie to watch. However, it would be much better if it’s available on other streaming platforms like Hulu, Planet Dish, HBO Max, and others because it’s a good film we think many dads can relate to.

6. NYAD

If you’ve heard about the 60-year-old woman who achieved her 110-mile open ocean swim dream on the news, then you should definitely watch NYAD. It’s a film about the true story of Diana Nyad and her journey to achieving that dream at the age of 60. It’s a true testament that there’s no age limit when it comes to achieving your goals. If you want to be inspired or simply want to watch her swim from Cuba to Florida, make sure to watch this movie.

The Bottom Line

These movies and TV series are just some of Netflix’s best new releases this year. Feel free to explore its catalog, and we’re pretty sure you’ll find more content that will fit your viewing preferences. Netflix did a great job this year, and we still have a few weeks left until the end of the year. So make sure to watch these titles. You won’t regret it!
