Fabio Frey's Directorial Debut 'My Dead Dad' HBO MAX: Release Date | Cast | Trailer

The coming-of-age drama from co-writer/director Fabio Frey and co-writer/star Correa’s My Dead Dad is a quirky and engrossing tale of life. The film won the Jacksonville Film Festival’s Jury Award for “Best Feature Film” and the Santa Clarita International Film Festival’s “Best Feature Award” for Drama.

The film stars Pedro Correa as young Lucas, who takes on the burden of managing an inherited apartment complex in Los Angeles after learning of his estranged father’s death. Lucas meets the varied inhabitants, determined to sell the complex without hesitation, and soon realizes his father is not the same guy he knew.

Pedro Correa, Simon Rex, Chris Pontius, Booboo Stewart, Courtney Dietz, Raymond Cruz, and Steven Bauer star in the film.

My Dead Dad has been picked up by OneFifty for HBO Max and will premiere on June 1st.

Correa produces My Dead Dad for Never Norm Films. Declan Baldwin and Karl Hartman of Big Indie Pictures are executive producers, along with Kyle Stroud and Keanu Mayo of Carte Blanche. HBO Max was represented by Amanda Trokan, Director of Content Acquisitions for HBO and HBO Max.
