Locke and Key Season 2 Trailer

Nina Locke (Darby Stanchfield) is still grieving her husband’s death in the trailer, oblivious to the fact that her children are tinkering with the magic keys they’ve discovered around their new home. Tyler (Connor Jessup), Kinsey (Emilia Jones), and the youngest Bode (Jackson Robert Scott) are still exploiting the keys’ abilities as they try to figure out where they came from and what threats they pose.

However, their negligent handling of the keys could result in catastrophe if dark beings are lured to their power and join our realm. The trailer also reveals how a new key will be forged in Season 2, however, the capabilities of this new item have yet to be revealed. The addition of the new key is intriguing because it was not included in the original comic, hinting perhaps a new direction for the TV show. According to Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s comic novels, the youngsters are unaware that Dodge has taken on the persona of nerdy Griffin Gabe and hasn’t fully vanished. Nina Locke appears depressed in the trailer, having been kept in the dark about the secrets of her ancestral home.

Recap of the first season of Locke and Key

It’s been over 18 months since the first season of Locke and Key premiered on Netflix, so we understand if your memories of the show are hazy. Here’s a basic rundown of what happened. Tyler, Kinsey, and Bode Locke, along with their mother Nina, relocate into their family’s ancestral home (aptly named Keyhouse) following the murder of their father Rendell Locke. As they adjust to their new life, they realize that Keyhouse is home to a number of enigmatic keys, each of which grants anyone who finds them a set of magical talents but only children can fully exploit these abilities. Another difficulty is that a terrible villain (mainly) known as Echo and Dodge is attempting to harness the power of the keys for her own evil purposes, and she isn’t willing to let the siblings stand in her way.

Kinsey and their friends pushed Dodge back to where she came from in the series finale, beyond the so-called “omega door” in the ominously named Drowning Caves beneath Keyhouse. While Bode was able to reach his friend Rufus, who had been attacked by Dodge earlier, his mother Ellie has not been seen since Dodge attacked her in order to obtain the Crown of Shadows. Despite her disappearance and all of the horror, they’ve experienced – supernatural and otherwise — the Locke family decides to stay at Keyhouse and return to Matheson, feeling they’ve defeated the threat. Unfortunately, Kinsey’s love interest, Gabe, is eventually shown to be Dodge, who used the identity key to modify Ellie’s physical appearance as well. Gabe then goes to see Eden, a student who was struck by one of the bullet-like lights from another dimension, making her as voracious as Dodge when she escaped the well.
