The longest series “Last Man Standing” helped Fox to TV ratings win on a Thursday night. The Tim Allen-drove satire scored a 0.8 rating for the two-episode, with the first drawing 4.6 million all out watchers and the second 4.9 million.
Last Man standing into production on Season 8, with 14 out of 22 episodes in the can in front of its winter debut.

As recently detailed, Last Man Standing Season 8 will commence with three weeks of consecutive firsts, starting Thursday, Jan. 2 at 8/7c, on Fox.
At that point, beginning Thursday, Jan. 23, it will downsize to one episode for each week and run straight through May without a single repeat.
