Jenna Ortega and Paul Rudd’s “Death of a Unicorn” Filming starts

As a result of failed negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, SAG-AFTRA has announced its decision to join the ongoing WGA strike. Major movie production has already been put on hold due to the strike, although some independent films are permitted to continue shooting due to a clause in their contracts.

This may be seen in the upcoming A24 movie Death of a Unicorn, which stars Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega as a father and daughter. The movie, which Alex Scharfman is directing and writing, will soon begin production in Hungary.

The plot develops as Elliot and Ridley are traveling to a symposium on crisis management when an odd turn of events takes place. During their voyage, they unintentionally run into a unicorn, which triggers a string of unanticipated happenings. As the pharmaceutical tycoons take control of the unicorn, they soon learn that its horn and blood have miraculous curative properties. As numerous personalities and forces compete for control of the unicorn and its remarkable abilities, this revelation unleashes a series of tumultuous events.

The intriguing combination of drama, fantasy, and intrigue in Death of a Unicorn is guaranteed. Audiences may anticipate strong performances from the major actor’s thanks to Paul Rudd’s seasoned acting skills and Jenna Ortega’s developing potential. The movie examines the effects of a chance encounter with a mythical figure while examining themes of power, greed, and the extraordinary.

The film’s production company, A24, is not a member of the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, which allows them to continue with the production of their independent films. The news that low-budget movies like Death of a Unicorn can proceed is unquestionably encouraging, especially given the uncertainty surrounding the length of the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes.

Death of a Unicorn’s release date has not yet been officially announced. Stay tuned for additional information and developments as new information about the SAG-AFTRA strike becomes available.
